Architect

Designed by Clark Glasson and built in 1961, Deep Cliff's 18 hole, par 60, executive course is nestled in the Cupertino foothills. A short course of 3,358 yards, Deep Cliff is recommended by many course reviewers as a good starting point for beginners.

Glasson's classically designed courses are aesthetically pleasing and strategically sound, blending the beauty of the natural environment with intriguing and challenging layouts that create some of the countries most memorable courses. Glasson is renowned for making his courses challenging, playable and enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels.

Among the courses that Glasson has designed are:

  • Palo Alto Hills Country Club
  • Sunken Gardens Golf Club
  • Sunnyvale Golf Club
  • Twain Harte Golf Club
  • Fall River Valley County Club
  • Adams Springs Golf Course

Practice Facilities

"No one can learn golf by osmosis. The only way to strengthen your game and golfing muscles is to get out and practice."
- Mickey Wright, 1962

Deep Cliff provides a Practice Center that offers an 8000 sq. ft. putting green and 11- station hitting area to hone all of your golf skills.

With no need to concentrate on the distance at this course, Deep Cliff's netted station is a 35-yard driving range that is perfect for working on all aspects of your swing. The practice center is the ideal place for you and your friends to get the warm-up that you need to play the type of game that you desire. Practice your rhythm or get in a few hits to build confidence before you play.

When there are just not enough hours in the day for a full round of golf, why not practice at our driving range. Range tokens are only $5.00 for Youth on Course members for a bucket of 30 balls. Regular price for a small bucket of balls (30 count) Medium is $7.00, (60 count) Large is $13.00 and (90 count) $18.00. We also a full-service golf shop, lesson programs, and clinics are also available.

  • Conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner in all sporting activities, observing all applicable rules, and standards of etiquette and fair play.
  • Respect the rights of others, and not harass or threaten, verbally, physically, or otherwise abuse or retaliate against any player member, guest, or staff member.

  • Regarding bringing alcoholic beverages on to Deep Cliff Golf Course: California State Liquor Authority regulations are very clear and prohibit consumption of alcoholic beverages that were not purchased either from the Clubhouse or on the golf course grounds. This is NOT a local rule. Bringing alcoholic beverages to the golf course is in violation of California State Liquor Authority statute, and violators place themselves and the golf course at risk for fines and potential loss of liquor license. All permit holders and guests are required to abide by this California State law.
  • Know that staff will enforce these rules as seen and reported. The most effective efforts to enforce these rules are those made among peers on the course. To the extent that each guest/member assumes personal responsibility for their conduct, as well as their fellow competitors while on the course, the entire golf experience for all guests/members will be enhanced.
  • Does not damage the character, integrity, good will, property, and community view of Deep Cliff Golf Course facilities and/or its staff.
